Marilyn has generously volunteered to host our annual January Planning Meeting & White Elephant Gift Exchange. Bring a snack to share, your calendar, a white elephant wrapped gift to exchange, and your ideas for things to do in 2016. RSVP Marilyn so she knows how many to expect. Info from our New President.....Robin

Our December "Christmas Party" meeting was once again held at Merrilee's. She did a great job. Her house is fabulous, the Xmas tree was beautiful. She always does a great job in hosting an event. The gift exchange was again fun with stealing of gifts and it seems we always have one person who opens many gifts. That one person this year was Betty. The highlight of gifts was the Xmas quilt made by Tina and taken home by Ginny. Other gifts were the wooden bowl, silver tray and many others. We need suggestions for next years Xmas party. A few that I have heard are: Something "Black and White", something that can fit into a Xmas stocking". We are always open for suggestions. A good time was had by all. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year. Our Las Madres family is so much fun.

Christmas Party Update.....Ginny

Once again, dear friends exchanged and battled for incredible gifts that SPARKLED in Merrilee's lovely home. We enjoyed a delicious spread with great variety, as usual. We were happy that Dee could join us and Kathy R delighted us with her homemade applesaucei

Pinecrest Camping Reservations.....Shirley

We discussed Pinecrest dates at the Christmas party, and decided to try one week later to see if there would be fewer people trying to get reservations and whether that one week would make a difference in how the days are, whether we would notice it getting dark earlier, etc. It can be a work in progress so we will try this year for July 24th to August 7th. I am pretty sure we have gone about this time before as more than once we were there for Abbey's birthday. We used to have to go after Swim championships which ended in late July. Anyway, this means first day to try for a spot would be January 24th...not on President's Day this year.
