Thank You Shirley and Lou for organizing the dinner for our Christmas dinner and a HUGE thank you to Merrilee for hosting the wonderful Christmas dinner and gift exchange.

Our first meeting of the year on Thursday January 18th @ 7:15  will be at Marilyn Pfefferlen house @ 6452 Spring Meadow Court, San Jose, CA.  Her phone is 408-274-2304.  Please make sure you RSVP to Marilyn. It is our planning meeting so please come with GREAT ideas and your calendar.

Our February meeting will be @ Betty Verhoeven @ 1477 Los Rios, San Jose, CA  95120 @ 408-881-4696.

Betty will be teaching us "how to make origami money and learn a new game".

Our NEW Wednesday coffee location will be:  Evergreen Coffee @ 4075 Evergreen Village Square @ 9:30.

Our donation for this year went to Random Acts of Flowers of Silicon Valley for $300.00.  Please check out their web page for info.

For anyone who is interested in going to Pinecrest Lake this summer the group decided that the dates will be:

August 5, 2018 thru August 19th.  So we need to get on the phone on FEB 5 to start the mess of trying to get a camping spot. 

For those that are going on the trip to Ruth Eastman's @ 5716 197th Place SE, Bothell WA 98012 @ 408-655-5636.  The dates are  Friday, April 13th thru Tuesday, April 17th 

There was also talk and plans being developed for a trip to Cathy Hennig's house.

Dues for 2018

It was decided at our Decenber meeting that our dues for this year will be $20.  This provides us with the needed monies for deposits, as well as money to donate to worthy causes.  Please send your dues payment to Sue Ballard.

Proposition for a Fall Trip.....Cathy Hennig

This year I am offering up Washington DC for the fall ladies trip. The house next door to me is now being rented as a VRBO so between my house and this one there is room. The date is Thursday October 4 to Tuesday the 9th. They are giving it to me for $100 a night.  It has a queen bed, bunk beds and a day bed. 1 1/2 bath. I have two queens and can put an air bed in my office room. The weather has usually cooled some by then, but still not cold. I am two blocks from the metro so getting around is pretty easy. Lots of restaurants by me and fun little coffee shops. The weekends there is a farmers market and arts fair at Eastern Market 2 blocks from me also. So the short of it, I am in a very walkable area. The airport to use is DCA (Regan) it is a 10 minute drive from me and the others are over an hour away. Hope to see you and it is obvious space is a bit limited. As always it is very much a share space situation.

Editor's Note:  We took a rough poll at the Christmas Party and about 10 people expressed interest.  So....it's a GO!
