JULY MEETING

There is NO July meeting scheduled as some will be out of town and no one signed up for it.

Ladies Trip Update
We had a great time in Napa this weekend. The weather was a bit cold, but we still kept ourselves busy. Otis Spunkmeyer is the name of the brand of cookies they were making in the afternoon at the hotel. We held the meeting this morning and we would like to change the date for the fall trip. It conflicts for many. We are thinking of October 27-29...........Sue Butler

Congratulations to the David Ryan
David proposed and will be getting married Aug. 11th, 2007. Jennifer and Dave have been together for a little over 2 yrs. now. We really like her. Jenn is the youngest of 5, the 4 are brothers. Sooooo she fits into our family very well. :).........Mary

Vacation Recommendation from Mary Ryan
Ed and I just got back from Costa Rica. If anyone goes, you have to do the "Canopy's", that's where you glide on cables up to 400 feet off the ground across the rainforest. The one that we did had 11 cables, we even went over some beautiful waterfalls. I felt like Tarzan and Jane. Ha Ha Ha! I highly recommend it........Mary

Saturday Coffee Clatches Continue
Meet your Las Madres friends for some coffee and conversation at Java Junction on Saturday mornings at 9am. Every third Saturday is a field trip. July's away coffee will be Sat. July 15. That wonderful Panera bakery we experienced in Gilroy has opened in the new Target shopping center on Coleman Avenue. Let's give it a try!! Anyone interested in carpools let me know..........Kathy

A FRIEND SHOULD BE RADICAL

A friend should be radical.
He should love you when you're unlovable,
Hug you when you're unhuggable,
And bear with you when you are unbearable.

A friend should be fanatical.
He should cheer you when the whole world boos,
Dance when you get good news,
And cry when you cry, too.

But most of all, a friend should be mathematical.
He should multiply the joy, divide the sorrow,
Subtract the past, and add to tomorrow,
Calculate the need deep in your heart,
And always be bigger than the sum of all their parts.
