June Meeting
June's meeting is Bocce Ball at Fowler Creek Park where Sally is our hostess once again!  Grab a takeout dinner on the way to the park and join the fun.  This free court, near Chaboya and Matsumoto schools (Fowler Rd & Cortona Dr), has restrooms, picnic tables, and a great city view.  Dinner at 6:30.  Bocce at 7:15 (it doesn't get dark until late).  Dessert afterward at Village Creamery or Soleil (let's try to keep one of the new ice cream shops in business).  RSVP: Sally

Saturday Coffee Clatches Continue
We meet every Saturday morning at 9 am at Le Boulanger at San Felipe and Yerba Buena.  There is a Starbucks across from it if you need something "special" to go with your bagel or pastry.  Our field trip this month will be June 20th to MegaByte Pizza in the Canyon Creek Plaza to try out one of their new weekend breakfasts.

"My Favourite Things" - Julie Andrew's version for an AARP fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall to commemorate her 69th birthday.

Maalox and nose drops  and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and  new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in  string,
These are a few of my favourite  things.
Cadillac's and cataracts, and hearing aids  and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in  glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with  swings,
These are a few of my favourite  things..
When the pipes leak, When the bones  creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my  favourite things,
And then I don't feel so  bad.
Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for  bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with  onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they  bring,
These are a few of my favourite  things.
Back pains, confused brains, and no need for  sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is  thinnin',
And we won't mention our short, shrunken  frames,
When we remember our favourite  things.
When the joints ache, When the hips  break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the  great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so  bad.

Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation from  the crowd that lasted over four minutes and repeated  encores.
