What: Money Origami

At the October meeting Betty will be showing us how to do money origami.

She will help us make two or three simple shapes with money.

Money origami turns out better when using crisp or new bills. Betty will have new ones that we can trade for our wrinkled $1, or bring crisp bills (any denomination) that you would like to use.

Betty will have examples of some of the things that she has made out of money. Directions are easily found on YouTube.

She can also show us how to make an origami envelope with a square, if there is interest.

Betty is not sure how long this will take. Depending on time and interest, we can play a game after the origami.

October Lunch Bunch will be on Monday, October 22, 12:30pm, at Spread Deli in Campbell (193 E Campbell Ave).
This place was recommended by Shirley (she saw a write up in the Merc) so we are going to try somewhere new!

Our Annual Christmas Party

Mark your calendars for Monday, December 17, at 6:00pm for this year's annual Christmas Party. Merrilee has graciously volunteered to host it again.. The theme this year is COFFEE! It could be something coffee colored, something with images of coffee, or something the creative people in our group find (or make) to bring! For our "challenged" gift shoppers, a coffee gift card, actual coffee, or a coffee thermos is A-OK, but NO mugs!

Wednesday Coffee Clatches

Wednesday coffees are back to the rotation between even dates at Le Bou and odd dates at Panera.....until any other plan is made. So, October 3-Panera, October 10-Le Bou, October 17-Panera, October 24-LeBou, and October 31-Panera.

Senior Walkabout at Happy Hollow.....Shirley

Arrive between 9 and 10 AM and stay as long as you like.

Free admission and parking, early entry (park opens at 10), animal meet and greets, 10,000 step challenge, activities and giveaways, healthy breakfast available for purchase. The last date this year for this activity will be Thursday, October 25th.

Fall trip to Cathy's October 4-9

Marti, Ruth, Shirley, Joan, Merrilee, Mary, Kathy R, Tina and Ginny are going.

Start thinking of anything in particular you would like to do or see while here. We can see what can be fit in. Since it is a large group you don't have to all do the same things. I am two blocks from the metro so easy to go out and come back.
