August Meeting
When: Thursday, August 16, 6:15 pm
Where: Fowler Creek Park
What: Bocce Ball

Please join us for the fourth (fifth?) annual Bocce Ball at Fowler Creek Park.
(Put Fowler Road at Altia Lane, San Jose, CA 95135 in Google Maps.)
We start promptly at 6:15PM, to get the play in before it is dark.
Bring a jacket.
Eat first at home or bring some take out to munch between your turns.
Afterwards, we will go locally to Sonoma Chicken (1735 E. Capitol Expressway) for dessert.
No previous experience with bocce needed, the newbies usually win!
Please RSVP to
Sally so we know for whom to wait to begin.
Sally and Randi will bring bocce sets.

8 oz. rotini pasta
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. fresh lime juice
1 1/2 t. chili powder
2 t. ground cumin
1/2 t. salt
2 t. crushed garlic
2. c. diced chicken
1 1/2 c. whole kernel corn (one can)
1 (15oz) can black beans, draiied & riinsed
1/2 c. diced green bell pepper
1/2 c. diced red bell pepper
1/2 c. diced orange bell pepper
1/2 c. diced yellow bell pepper
1/2 c. fresh cilantro
1 c. grape tomatoes

Saturday Coffee Clatches Continue
We meet every Saturday morning at 9 am at Le Boulanger at San Felipe and Yerba Buena.  There is a Starbucks nearby if you need something "special" to go with your bagel or pastry.   This month's coffee field trip we will be going downtown on Saturday, August 18, to La Lune Sucree.
