March Meeting
When: Thursday, March 17, 6:30 pm
Where: Robin's House
What: 7th Annual St. Paddy's Day Dinner

Our March meeting will be the now-traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner at Robin's on Thursday, March 17th.  Let's try to have people arrive at 6:30 and eat around 7 or soon after.  An e-mail will come out about a week before for people to sign up for what they want to bring and RSVP to Robin.  Plan to wear something green.

8-Ball  8-ball
WHEN: Saturday, March 12, 7:30pm
WHERE: Casa de Gomez
BRING: Appetizer or Dessert, BYOB (Soda provided)

It's that time of year to battle it out on the table!  No skills needed, just a good sense of humor and a willingness to suffer to agony of defeat.  Please RSVP  Ginny.  She would also appreciate the loan of a card table and some chairs.

Newlywed Game Highlights
Seven couples braved the first ever Newlywed Game hosted by the Simmons and Wilsons. The goal was to acquire the most "kisses." The guys thought their questions were hard but the girls felt their questions were harder. The one thing we all agreed on was that we had not laughed so hard in a long long time.
What did we learn about each other- LOTS  Charles knew Sue would say one thing but he always wrote down something else. Amazing that most of the guys knew what month they met their love and what they were wearing on the first date. Don seemed to think Cindy's favorite restaurant was McDonalds. Walt had a definite lapse in his memory and delusions of grandeur when it came to the first time he met my Mom. Bill had a fit of hysteria about his favorite phrase....one we had never once heard him say. Most men were the boss of the garage leaving the women to be the boss of the house. In the end, Randi and Dave won.....we all could have answered that question corectly HA HA.  We all agreed what was said at Simmon's stayed at Simmon's  so as they say - you had to be there. All in all the vote was to do it again.
(Editor's Note: Both the Kranaks and the Gomezes agreed that margaritas should count as a food when determining what will put their hubbies in the mood.  As to ATW....only those who attended know its definition.)

Weekend in Paradise!
Kathy hopes you'll be able to join her for a Ladies weekend at her new home in Paradise on Friday March 25-Sunday March 27.  She'll be sending out an e-vite with more information soon, but if you have questions e-mail Kathy.

Our Condolences
Our condolences to Lou D'Agosta and his family on the recent passing of his mother.

Cleaning for a Reason

If you know any woman  currently undergoing chemotherapy, please pass the word to her that there is a  cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning - once per month for 4  months while she is in treatment.

All she has to do is  sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. Cleaning for  a Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange  for the service. This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547  partners to help these women. It's our job to pass the word and let them know  that there are
people out there that  care. Be a blessing to someone and pass this information along.

You may not know  someone going through chemo, but someone on your email list might.

Saturday Coffee Clatches Continue
We meet every Saturday morning at 9 am at Le Boulanger at San Felipe and Yerba Buena.  There is a Starbucks across from it if you need something "special" to go with your bagel or pastry.   For our March "away" coffee, we are going to go to the Panera Bakery at the Plant.  Don't "loaf" and come break bread with us!
