Our February meeting will be a trip to the movies to see "Hillary and
Jackie". Call Cathy Hennig for info and last minute times.
Vicki will also send e-mail when we know exact time for that day.
A review of this movie was in the EYE on January 22nd.
Couples' Dinner
On February 20th at 7:00PM we will be having our first Couples' Activity
of the year - Dinner at Buca de Beppo, a family style Italian restaurant
in Palo Alto. Randi says it is a lot of fun, and a reasonable price.
After dinner we can stroll University Avenue - bookstores, ice cream, coffee,
etc. RSVP to Randi by February 15th.
PLANS FOR 1999
At the January meeting the following plans for the year were made:
LADIES' TRIPS:
May 14-16 - A Spring trip to Solvang. Vicki has made reservations for 2 rooms that will hold 6 people each at the Danish Country Inn which is about 3 blocks out of town. The rooms are across the hall from each other so visiting will be easy. There are additional rooms that hold 4 available if more people sign up. The cost will be around $20/night using the entertainment book. RSVP Vicki if you want a space reserved for you.
October 16th weekend (tentative) - A Fall trip to Pacific Grove. Dee would like to know how many are interested so call her and let her know if you want to be added to her list.
MEN'S GOLF - No date yet. Mike Ballard is researching possibly new locations as Forest Meadows wasn't providing the same access to the course.
COUPLES' ACTIVITIES:
February 20th - Dinner at Buca de Beppo
March 6th -8-Ball at the Gomezes. If anyone has a problem with this date let Ginny know.
April 19th - Bunko at Sally's.
August 6th-15th - Camping. Tickets are already on sale for these dates.
Other possibilities - Music in the park, Santa Cruz boardwalk concerts, Bay 101 Saturday night dances, bowling.

May - Ladies' trip to Solvang

December - Christmas Party at Marti's on December 16th. $15-$20 Christmas item (not an ornament) for the home or ?
OTHER IDEAS:
Summer family picnic at Creekside or something like that.
Family hike that is flat and short. Lou will try to find something nearby.
Cathy Hennig want to go a a trip anywhere she can use her American Airlines frequent flyer miles. All inquiries taken.
